Hello and welcome to the official web site for instrumental artist, Caleb Warren.  Caleb has been arranging and composing music for over 30 years.  Caleb grew up in rural Alabama during the 1970's.  His earliest memories include listening to instrumental artists such as Chet Atkins and Floyd Cramer.  In the 1980's, additional artists such as Paul Hardcastle, George Howard, Kenny G. and others motivated him toward writing instrumental music himself.

Caleb's first exposure to music was really from birth.  His father, Ollie, received his first guitar at the tender age of 16.  Ollie's mother taught him some chords, and away he went.  He composed some 50+ songs during the last 10 years of his life.  Sadly, he died at the young age of 26 due to heart problems.  Caleb was only 1 year old at the time.  However, he passed something very precious on to his son - recordings of his music!  So, Caleb grew up listening to his father's singing and playing on almost a daily basis.

Later, when Caleb was around 8 or 9 years old, his mother bought him a small student's classical guitar.  Caleb taught himself chords on it and began to practice singing and playing like his father did.  Caleb, like his father, had a natural ear for music.  This would be a great asset to him later in life.

A very memorable day in Caleb's life was the day his mother allowed him to play his father's guitar for the first time.  He was around 10 years old and could barely get his arms around it.  He began practicing regularly on it.

About one year later, Caleb's mother offered him and his sister the chance to take piano lessons.  Caleb's sister Davinia readily accepted.  However, Caleb declined, since he was interested primarily in the guitar.  But there was no guitar instructor to be found.

When Caleb was 12 years old, one day his sister was playing the piano and performing for the family.  Caleb's mom noticed he was a little dejected and said, "Are you sure you don't want to take piano lessons too?"  Caleb then consented and began lessons immediately.  He took piano lessons for about 2 1/2 years, and progressed nicely.  This was due in part to having a good teacher and practicing regularly.  Having a natural ear for music didn't hurt either.  Then, at age 15, the family moved to Georgia.

In Georgia, finding a piano teacher that was as good as his original teacher in Alabama proved to be a challenge.  After 3 different teachers, Caleb finally decided to finish off his training himself.

The rest is history.  Caleb's first composition was around age 13.  Caleb has included it on his 3rd CD - "Made From Scratch."  It bears the same name as the title of the CD.

Caleb composed a couple of songs in his teens and early 20's.  But, serious composing began at age 25.  To date, Caleb has composed well over 100 songs.  He has released 4 CD's, and a 5th CD is forthcoming.

In 2008, due to health problems, Caleb and his family relocated to the beautiful Texas Gulf Coast where his wife was born and raised.  In 2009, he had to have hip replacement surgery for the 3rd time in his life.  After much physical therapy, Caleb is doing better now.  He hopes to be able to resume playing and composing again in the near future.  Check back here for periodic updates.

Caleb refers to his work as "Feel Good" music.  We feel you will agree.  Please take a few moments to listen to samples of his music.  If you enjoy what you hear, his CDs are available for purchase.  For more information, feel free to email Caleb at: 4inharmony@gmail.com

Thank you for dropping by, and please do come visit again soon.
